This body of work contains bold, colorful depictions of my inner landscape. I was energized in the painting process by juxtaposing dreamlike elements that one would never encounter in the everyday world-pushing the boundaries between imagination and reality. These paintings reflect the wild and untamed aspects of my personality that would otherwise remain unexpressed through any other means.

Repetitive pattern is a common thread in this series. As I became engaged in the process of adding these details, it was less about "decorating" and more about the trancelike state that took over my being that pushed me to go further and further. The work was created out of a desire to meet myself in a different way than through the mundane experiences of life. I developed a relationship with each piece, as it told me its story, and I knew there was nothing more to be told when I sensed an internal feeling of completion.
